I hit a slushy patch this afternoon and just about went down about a quarter mile south of the Four Mile Creek trailhead. The trail was also impassable in the other direction.

Remember tonight the low of about 32-35 will cause freezing. Watch for black ice.

We just got back from a ride and were  planning to go up to Cul’s/Charles City via the Cap Trail, but bagged it and stayed local around Jamestown Island. We went up the trail as far as Governor’s Land around MP 5 and there were still a few small icy patches in the shaded areas. I suspect they’ll be gone by tomorrow. Probably similar the rest of the way up the trail. Lots of sand and debris on the main road shoulders. But it sure felt good to ride outside in the warm sun.

Be careful out there.

Is the VCT safe to ride from Jamestown to Charles City Court House, i.e. the snow /ice condition?  It is clear from Jamestown to MP 3 but don't know condition pass MP 3.  Thank you for update.
