(This event has been published on behalf of Aaron Workman, new WAB member 2023.  His letter and info follow. - Ken McFarland)

I recently joined the club and would like to submit this ride for consideration to be included on the WAB ride calendar.

From EODWARRIORFOUNDATION.ORG (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) - The EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF) serves the EOD community by providing financial assistance and support to Active-Duty, Reserve and National Guard, Retired and Veteran EOD Technicians and their families. The Foundation believes that the EOD Family is for life. Our ongoing mission is to disarm the challenges of the EOD Family by providing our support with compassion and caring to every individual we serve.

I am an active Army EOD officer and the EODWF has supported many of my fellow EOD warriors and their families in a myriad of ways. Vince Martinez and Sam Dworetzky are great guys and the riders who participate in these rides are generally great company.
    Aaron Workman

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Dworetzky/Martinez Family Charity bicycle ride.  Below is the information to RSVP and Register.  This event is to support and raise awareness for the EOD Warrior Foundation (501 (C) (3)).  There is no registration/entry fee for the ride.  Alan & Ann will generously donate $100 to the Foundation for every rider.  Gael and I will donate $50 to the Foundation for every rider.  And of course, we welcome any voluntary donations you are able to provide.  Post-ride drinks and refreshments will be provided at the Dworetzky home.

This year I have designed the ride to support all levels of riders, families and bikes.  The 34-mile ride will start and finish at the Dworetzky home.  The 6- & 8-mile loops around Jamestown Island will start at 11:00 am from the Jamestown Parking Lot, finishing at Billsburg Brewery.  The 6- & 8-mile rides should be finished when the 34-mile riders arrive at the Brewery for a rest-stop refreshment.   I ask that everyone who plans to ride use the registration site and sign the waiver.  Registration is FREE.  Those riding the 6- & 8-milers are invited to join us at the Dworetzky home for food and refreshments once all riders have finished.
