Hazard on Jamestown Road

The nails causing the hazard are even with the 35 mph sign.  They're about a third of the way into the bike lane from the dirt on the right side.  In the close up photo, one nail is even with my front tire; the other is about three feet closer to the camera.

"Hello, friends and neighbors! This feels a little silly to post, but I don't want anyone else getting hurt (or worse), so:
Heads-up for the cyclists and joggers out there -- I discovered the hard way yesterday that there are multiple rivets or something sticking up out of the pavement in the bike lanes along Jamestown Rd, near the little maintenance building by the bridge over Lake Powell. They are hard to see, but they stick up enough to be a real hazard. I ran into one and went flying as cars were approaching, and it was pure luck that I didn't fall into the car lane and get pancaked. (Many thanks to the lovely woman with the very cool glasses who pulled over to check on me.)
Not sure if this is a VDOT thing or a JCC thing, but I will be trying to contact someone to rectify this because it's dangerous. If you know of a specific person or department that would handle this kind of thing, please let me know - thanks!
