It seems that our nurse angel ( Julie Christensen) has been working more in retirement than when she was employed . While we wish that were not the case , we are thankful to have her medical expertise and smile when called upon. Deana, you will be dancing down the hall soon enough just like our Iowa friend is doing. For more on that , read the September News Letter concerning RAGBRAI. Looking on the bright side., since you fell while walking your bike was not damaged or harmed in a way.
Deana , we all look forward to seeing you on your bike and hearing your “ callout” real soon.

First off I must thank Julie Christansen and Will Ameen for jumping into action as First Aid Responders. I consider myself very luck you were both on the scene. I must also thank Michael Walls for * calling the CCC Paramedics,  *retrieving my car keys from my car keys from my bike bag, *contacting my son to pick up my bike and * then driving my car back to my house,  Also thanks to anyone else who helped out.

If you at the scene of my "trip and crash landing," i'm sorry you had to witness my unlady -like display of walking across a parking lot. I hope you are not having nightmare because of it.

I spent the past week with a cast on my left arm due to a fracture in the head of the radius bone. (If you dont know where that is, look it up. It is small but mighty.) The cast has now been removed and I am beginning the process of returning my arm to full mobility, It will take time. Luckily no surgery required. My lower lip and other cuts, scrapes and bruises are healing.

I'll be back out on the road with you as soon as able.

Deana
