Roger's Ride to Niagara Falls was created by Rod Fernandez (Rod Fernandez)
Hi. Roger Janes has organized a century ride from North East, PA which is near Erie, to Niagara Falls. It is not a race, but a nice social experience on flat route which runs along Lake Erie, through Buffalo, NY, and across the Peace Bridge at the Canadian border and we spend the night in Niagara Falls. The ride is about 100 miles. The next day we cycle to Niagara on the Lake, which is about 13 miles, and have lunch on your own there and you are free to shop. They load up our bikes and we are transported back by vans or bus, depending on the turn out and return Sunday evening. He has not posted a price for this year but it's typically just over $100. The hotel and dining expenses aren't included. We stop at lots of Tim Horton's along the way. You can do a hotel on your own but he will help arrange a group rate if you want the group. Dinner the night on arrival is on your own but he will usually make group reservations the day of if you are interested. He asked to spread the word although he has not yet mentioned it on the Facebook page yet. He did mention it on his personal Facebook page. This year the ride will be on Saturday September 13, with the ride to Niagara on the Lake Sunday September 14. You will need to also plan on being ready to leave early that Saturday morning. I think they usually meet up at 6:30 to be on road by 7am.  Look for Roger's Ride to the Falls on Facebook, and Roger Janes also has his own personal Facebook page.
if you're not on Facebook I can give you his email address, just message me. I've done this ride several times and it's a wonderful experience, except for the one time when we had a horrible head wind the whole time with moths.
Oh, and that one year we had 7 flats. But there's support the whole time. I think lots of WAB riders would really enjoy it. Make sure you have a passport!

Addendum: Roger messaged me that he would limit the ride to 25 of us from the WAB group to make sure he could accommodate.
