I’ve come out the last three weeks as part of building my condition. The C ride is nice and I’ve stayed with the group for the first half then separated myself on the return half. I’ like to have a “B” pace group that starts at 9 or 8:30 for 40 or so.
Please, not a B that devolves into a B+ ego ride.

Just next Friday. I just wanted trying longer by starting earlier, not to intrude on regular Friday Friends rides.

Are we thinking about just next Friday or for the entire summer?

As leader for next Friday Friends ride, I can agree with an earlier start time all summer. I think 8am would be a good compromise for starting and having more riders interested. It is still called a C pace ride although riders can go at their own pace and distance, but I think the leader is obligated to ride C pace.

Would anyone be interested in starting the Friday Friends at 0730 vice 0930 and go for a metric century (62 miles) with me, same start location as the regular Friday Friends? We would ride the trail to just past Herring Creek and back. The earlier start takes advantage of the cooler temps, and returning by 1130 to 1200 should keep us out of the worst heat. I'm looking at riding at a B pace with a few, but very short, breaks along the way, so it will be slightly faster than 15mph moving average to keep it to 4 hours. I hope you'll join me!
