The weather was great if not a bit warm by the finish for the Monday morning B+ ride from Charles City. Timely arrival of many riders was in question due to route 5 road work but we all made it with time to spare. 13 of us rode the fast CC 04 course maintaining a solid pace and stayed together nicely with most riders topping 18 mph average. Thanks to all for working together, making it a very enjoyable ride for my first run at ride leader. The group included Toni J, Dave M, Patrick and Judy H, Raul Z, Vince F, Bruce A, Hal M, Mark H, Rick N, Cameron R, John H and Peter B. I'm looking forward to my next ride leader assignment at 8:30am on Saturday from the New Kent Visitor Center. We're hoping to beat the heat with a little earlier start. Hope to see many of you there.
