The Saturday, June 7, “B+” group was gender-balanced – five women and six men. Natalie Barron, Dave Belvin, Helene Drees, Patrick Hurley, Toni Johncour, Dave Milby, Stacey Miller, Donna Moyer, Kitty Preston, Cameron Roberts, and I rode the 44-mile Two Drummers route at a brisk pace (low 18s) but stayed together the entire distance. Midway in the ride, Natalie led us up a three-mile climb at a perfect pace – not too hot, not too cool, just right!Two Drummers is located on US 60. Leaving at 9 a.m. in the morning, traffic was minimal. Returning to Two Drummers at 11:30, traffic was … scary. Apparently, an accident had stalled traffic on I-64 East, so a two-lane wall of high-speed traffic was using US 60 East as an alternative interstate. However, the unexpected adrenaline boost did not dampen the group’s enthusiasm. All but one stayed to socialize at Two Drummers. Thanks all!
