If you are going to ride the Capital Trail today please be careful
This morning I encountered the following:
About the 6 mile marker a large branch across the trail about 6 feet off the ground
About the 14 mile marker a tree down on a bridge you need to get off your bike and walk around
Also around the 14 mile marker Dominion energy working by the trail with a rubber hose across the trail
but none of these were the worst
Shortly after encountering Dominion there was a single person by the side of the trail with what I thought was also a rubber hose. It turned out to be metal piping and was about 6 to 12 inches off the ground with no warning flag or person standing there to warn riders!
In addition, there is the normal twigs and branches and standing water.
Be safe out there.
