Since we use the VCT so much for our club rides, it is only fitting that we do our part to maintain it. Twice a year, the VCTF organizes clean-up days, to clean the trail (and the neighboring highway corridor to some extent). The organized event is Saturday April 12th, which is the same day as the Riders Cup joint WAB / PBA ride. We will do some clean-up on Tuesday April 15th, 9-11am, meet at the shelter at Chickahominy Riverfront Park at 8:45 or so to get supplies. Based on volunteer response and unclaimed miles, we will try to clean MP 7 to MP 11 (west end of the bridge to Willcox) and MP 1 to MP 4 (I believe these are easy, clean miles). Please sign-up to help. Suggest you wear long sleeves, long pants, and gloves. We will provide bags and pickers if you want one. The more, the merrier, and the faster it will go.
