I saw this on Nextdoor. Many of you may not know about COFM (Community of Faith Mission). It is a ministry supported by a number of local churches, that provides a safe haven for the homeless during the cold winter months in Williamsburg, offering warm lodging and meals. One of their annual fund-raisers is WarmUp Williamsburg, a soup sale in the winter. This article gives a big thanks to several local restaurants. Among them is one of our supporters, Spoke & Art. If you get the opportunity, please offer your thanks to Dave Berger and Steve Rose for their support of this worthy community ministry. "I want to encourage our community to patronize the following businesses: Culture Cafe, Aberdeen Barn, Spoke & Art, and Chickahominy House. These businesses went above and beyond to support the Community of Faith Mission, Warm Up Williamsburg Soup fundraiser this year. We realized on Friday at 3 pm that we had miscalculated the amount of soup we would need for the event. These amazing chefs and business owners came to our rescue in a major way and made sure there was no deficit by the following morning at 10 am when we distributed the soup. We are so grateful for a community that shows up for such a great cause like our community emergency shelter. COFM and our WARM UP WILLIAMSBURG volunteer team are extremely grateful for these top-notch chefs and business owners. Please help us by thanking them and patronizing their restaurants.
