Each year, WAB competes with PBA (the Peninsula Bicycle Association in the Newport News area) to see which club rode the most miles. The winning club holds the "Rider's Cup" trophy for the year. On April 12, the Rider's Cup will be awarded to the 2024 mileage winner. In the past, the rides that follow the presentation of the trophy were always held on PBA's turf. This year, WAB -- as the 2023 winner -- will host D, C, B, and B+ rides starting at Jamestown Settlement. Details will follow.
If you have not already done so, please enter your 2024 road and stationary mileage into the WAB website. You can enter mileage throughout the year, or you can enter your 2024 totals with one or two entries as follows.
1. Log into the WAB website.
2. Go to Members > Ride Logs > Add Ride Log
3. Ride Date > select a date from the Calendar icon, e.g., 2024-12-31
4. Distance > your 2024 road miles
5. Stationary > No
6. The remaining fields are optional
7. Submit
8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 for your stationary (indoor trainer) miles. Use Yes in Step 5.
Go to Members > Ride Logs > Ride Logs YTD to see where you stood in 2024 among WAB cyclists. The list is at the bottom of that page under "2024 Totals."
