I have been a member of HTBAC for five years (retiring this December.) This is an effective and influential group, advocating for increased and improved riding conditions in the Historic Triangle. It meets quarterly and took 4 hours per quarter.

Another organization with a similar, however broader mission, is also seeking new members: BikeWalk Williamsburg. It meets monthly and requires more of a time commitment. (bikewalkwilliamsburg.org). See "Contact" on the website to get more information.

HTBAC seeking for new member was created by Robert Buchanan (SomaBike)
I saw this notice and thought I'd pass it along.  Here's an opportunity for anyone interested in serving at the county level on the Historic Triangle Bicycle Advisory Committee.
October 04, 2024 Historic Triangle Bicycle Advisory Committee Seeking Applications for One New Member The Historic Triangle Bicycle Advisory Committee (HTBAC) is currently seeking applications for one new member to represent James City County. Interested County residents can submit an application online.

The HTBAC serves as an advisory body to the Planning Commissions and governing bodies of the City of Williamsburg, James City County and York County. HTBAC reviews the Regional Bikeways Plan and recommends implementation of specific bikeway projects.

Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and initially serve for two years.
