Gravel Ride on Thursday was created by Andy Ballentine (ABallentine)
Hello, friends --

I need to get out to Rockbridge Winery to pick up my spring Wine Club bottles!  And I like to take a bicycle and ride some out in that part of Virginia.  So ...

Using the Rockbridge and Augusta County VDOT maps, I've put together a 29 mile ride, about 20 miles on gravel, beginning and ending at the Winery (35 Hillview Lane, Raphine, VA, 24472).  Raphine is just off I-81, south of Staunton and north of Lexington.

It takes two hours and 40 minutes to get there from Williamsburg.

It looks like it'll be in the 70s and dry this Thursday in the Raphine area.  I'm planning to begin riding at 11:00AM.  I'd say a C-pace, but it's beautiful country, and I'm gonna wanna stop to take in the view when it's beautiful!  If you're interested, lemme know.

Bonus after the ride: the winery and attached brewery will be open!
