Fleet Tire and Open Air Market in conjunction with Steve Ross are planning a trash pick up day for Saturday, April 27 from 9 AM to 12 noon in Charles City County . Those interested should arrive before 9 o’clock and meet at Charles City County Courthouse where you will be given more instructions . The organizers will give out safety vests, pick up tools and plastic bags and rubber gloves and water. There will be police there to help with traffic flow on the selected road or roads they expect to work on. Let’s go out as a club and help pick up the unsightly trash that seems to be collecting along the Charles City County roads and make our rides much more pleasant when riding the back roads of the County. Let’s represent the club by wearing our WAB jerseys to show support and show that we do care about the roads in Charles City County. I will attempt to post the link on Facebook so that you can click on that and read more on the subject. Additionally, those that attend the clean up will be offered a free lunch at Indian Tavern from 12 noon to 2:00 pm to show appreciation of all the work and volunteers that come out on the cleanup day . Copy and paste the below link to your web browser and that should pull up the link to the event. Indicate that you are going so that they will have the necessary supplies and so they can give an estimate to Indian Fields of the people coming for the lunch.
