The 2024 Cap2Cap to benefit the VA Capital Trail is now 3 months away. If you would like to ride with other WABbits, WAB is offering organized club rides on Friday, May 10th, when the party zone is at Chickahominy Riverfront Park. Tentative plans are for an early launch at 7:30, coordinated by Harry Levins and Ken McFarland, for those planning to do a century at a B/B+/A pace, likely breaking into smaller groups based on pace. There will also be a later launch, coordinated by Will Ameen and Raul Zevallos, time TBD (8:00?), for those planning to do fewer miles at a slower pace, again breaking up by pace. All groups will launch from Jamestown Settlement. 25 WABbits have already registered their interest.
To join the WAB group, please register on the WAB calendar with the appropriate group. To use the rest stops and enjoy the party zone, you must also register on the Cap2Cap site at
Cap2Cap.
When you register, be sure to join the “Williamsburg Area Bicyclists” team (the password is WAB2023). There are 2 remaining price bumps on 4/1, and 5/9. If you already registered on the Cap2Cap site, but did not join our team, login to the registration site, scroll all the way to the bottom, click on Teams, pick the WAB team, and join.
