Update Ride Logs for 2023 Mileage

Road miles, dirt miles, trainer miles, gravel miles, e-bike miles - they are all good and valuable as we are staying active and in the sport of cycling.

Tony - I'm not sure what sandbagging is, but I enjoy simply living on my various bicycles during the year (I only start my car when I need to - a couple of times a week), and then seeing what the mileage is at the end of the year. For me that's more fun than being in accomplishment mode every day! To each our own, right?

Maybe rider should post their rides when they are done, instead of sandbagging and posting then all at once. It is fun to watch the daily rides and it is an incentive to go for a ride to catch up to someone close to you in milage. Finally, it might be time to have a separate category for e-bikes since more and more riders are using them.

Just a reminder for those who only post your annual rider mileage in the WAB rider log, please do that before December 31.  Please post both road and stationary mileage (if any).  The Ryder Cup competition with PBA now includes both types of riding for the top 30 riders.  Very early next year I will be coordinating with PBA for the 2023 Ryder's Cup recognition.  This year WAB ride miles is very close to our all time best year (Covid - 2020), but will have to see where the riders who only post once a year puts us.
