Sentara Regional Hospital has requested the BikeWalk Williamsburg conduct a Bicycle Rodeo for children this coming Saturday, October 14, at the annual Sentara Children's Health Expo and Safe Kids Day event. We need volunteers to help staff the event. We plan to have 9 "stations" with two volunteers per station. Each station is a learning and skills building opportunity. There will be two training sessions for adult volunteers, Friday September 29 in the Williamsburg Regional Library, Schell room, at 4 pm. The training program will be repeated on October 13, same time and place. It's easy, and each volunteer will be provided with a script detailing what you say and do at your station.
We especially need people with experience. This event was last conducted in 2019 and died during the COVID pandemic. Your reward will be to see a lot of children and parents smile!
