The monthly Waverly ride returns for another year with this ride on the quiet backroads of Sussex, Surry and Southampton Counties. Sara Page of RABA will lead the B pace group and Jack Huber will lead the C group. The route is very rural with little car traffic and there will be a rest stop at a convenience store in Wakefield. Everyone is encouraged to have lunch together at the Colonial Tavern (formerly La Hacienda) in Waverly after the ride. Cue sheets will be provided at the start for those who need them. All other pace levels are welcome, but may be self-led. Meet behind the Colonial Tavern restaurant (101 South County Drive, Waverly, VA 23890). Please park in the unpaved portion of the parking lot to leave room for other restaurant customers. Remember that speed limits are strictly enforced in Waverly. If a weather cancellation is necessary, it will be posted no later than 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
