Ride Description

Sunday, November 11, join Linda and Bob Carter for our annual Veterans Day ride and subsequent program at the Poquoson City Hall.  Wear your Red, White and Blue if you can.

Meet in the parking lot of the old Farm Fresh next to Wendy’s in Poquoson (460 Wythe Creek Road) at 12 noon. Please arrive by 11:45am. This will be a 20-25 mile ride at a 12-14 mph pace. The Veterans Day Program starts at 2:00pm and lasts 30-45 minutes with refreshments afterwards. We will ride primarily in the eastern part of Poquoson to Messick where we will have a short stop and bathrooms are available. We will have 3-4 sprints during the ride and can add additional miles after the program for those that want to continue.  Bring helmet, lights, water, suntan lotion and desired snacks.

Any cancellation due to weather will be posted by 10:30am.

This is a joint PBA / WAB ride. (There is NO Saturday Poquoson Ride scheduled).

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.
 
Registration is required for all WAB rides.  Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders,  and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.   Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
