Join Rick Nevins for a 35-mile B ride starting in lovely downtown Toano. You will tour the rural countryside of upper James City County and lower New Kent County.
Starting location: Park at the James City County Government Offices at 3127 Forge Road, Toano, VA 23168 (just off Richmond Road/U.S. 60 and just past the fire station). Around the corner is Hohl's Bakery and Coffee (7961 Richmond Road) -- get your caffeine jolt before or after the ride. And check out the local farmers market and bazaar at the corner of Forge & Richmond.
This ride will use the same starting location as the B+ ride. The route will be identical EXCEPT it will be shortened by about 5 miles. This should allow both rides to end at about the same time. The B route diverges from the B+ route at mile 22 and re-joins the B+ route at mile 30, so if you start out with the B+ group and decide you'd like to go a little slower, you could wait for us anyplace prior to mile 22 or after mile 30.
