Short and Sweet Ride

New:  Short and Sweet Ride.  Many WAB members have previously expressed an interest in rides of shorter duration, at slower paces, and perhaps held on the weekend.  To respond to this interest, we will schedule a ride once or twice a month over the next six months and then gauge if members want to continue this in the future.  These rides will be led at a pace of C or lower (between 10 and 14 mph), depending on participation.

The first Short and Sweet Ride will be Sunday, November 1, at 1 p.m.  We will launch from Jamestown Settlement, following route JS 12 (18.8 miles).  The route will take us on the Virginia Capital Trail toward Chickahominy Park with a short loop on adjacent neighborhood roads.  This route also provides opportunities to shorten the ride even further.  If you prefer riding at a slower pace, or are interested in getting more experience in group rides or riding lightly traveled roads, consider joining this ride.  Questions?  Contact Mike Walls at walls.mp2@gmail.com.
