Richmond Sampler Ride "C"

Date
08/31/2023 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Ride Description

This 26-mile, C-pace ride begins and ends at the lower parking lot of the Stone Brewery in Richmond.  If you come in on Rt. 5, the parking lot is on Nicholson Street, half a block off Main Street (Rt. 5),  just past Rocketts Landing in Richmond

Join other adventurous cyclists for a Richmond Sampler ride -- so named because you'll experience a sampling of all that Richmond has to offer: 26 miles of pavement as well as gravel trails, on both sides of the James River, through every variety of neighborhood.  We'll stop for lunch at Stuffy's, a great sandwich/sub shop on Libbie Avenue – frequently named in “Best of Richmond.”

The ride will feature a sampling of every kind of riding in the city of Richmond including the canal walk, Brown’s Island and Belle Isle, some of the gravel trails of the James River Park System, riding through neighborhoods featuring multi-million dollar homes as well as modest dwellings, and through the University of Richmond campus.  We’ll cross the James River twice, once on a pedestrian-bicycle bridge.  We’ll stop frequently to check out historical markers and amazing river views.

Since we’ll end the ride at a brewery, there will be a beer option in the late afternoon!
