Ride Description

Memorial Day Ride - will join the Memorial Day Ceremonies at City Hall at 10 AM, so, wear your Red, White & Blue if you want!!!

Leaders: Linda & Bob Carter, 757-868-6198

Launch: Parking lot to the left of the Poquoson Wendy's (the old Farm Fresh, 460 Wythe Creek Rd)

Time: 8:00 AM (please arrive no later than 7:45 AM)

Distance: 20-25 miles

Pace: Rolling 12-14 mph with several sprint opportunities

Rest stops: Messick Point (with bathrooms) and City Hall for the Memorial Day Ceremonies.

Bring helmet, lights, water bottles, suntan lotion, and snacks.

There are usually snacks at City Hall after the ceremony but frosties, chili, salads, bake potatoes, etc. afterwards at Wendy's are always an option.

This is a joint PBA / WAB ride, all are welcome.

Any cancellation will be posted by 6:30 Monday.

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.
 
Registration is required for all WAB rides.  Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders,  and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.   Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
