Ride Description

CANCELLED DUE TO COLD

PBA and WAB are trying to offer more joint ride options.  Here is another.

Join Linda Carter for a C ride in Poquoson.  Meet at Farm Fresh in Poquoson (460 Wythe Creek Rd) at 9:00 AM.  Partly cloudy with winds projected to be S at 5 mph and temps at 40 degrees at 9:00 AM "warming" to 46 degrees at noon.  Any change in ride due to weather will be posted by 7:30AM.  Frosties, chili, etc. afterwards are always an option.  This is a 30 mile ride rolling at 12-14 mph.  Shorter options are available and no one is dropped.  There are 4-5 sprint opportunities.  This is a road ride and all flat.  Bring helmet, water bottles, and snacks.  We have two stops - one at Messick Point with bathrooms and one at Heidi's Place at the end of Pasture Road.  Any questions call Linda at 757-868-6198 (home).

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.
 
Registration is required for all WAB rides.  Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders,  and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.   Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
