Ride Description

CANCELLED DUE TO WET ROADS AND WINDY CONDITIONS

Join Linda and Bob Carter for a C ride in Poquoson.  This is a joint PBA/WAB ride.  Meet in the parking lot of the old Farm Fresh next to Wendy's in Poquoson (460 Wythe Creek Rd) at 8:00 AM.  Please arrive by 7:45am.  Any change in weather or cancellation will be posted by 6:30 AM.  Frosties, chili, etc. afterwards are always an option.  This is a 30-mile ride rolling at 12-14 mph.  Shorter options available and no one is dropped.  There are 4 sprint opportunities.  Bring helmet, lights, 2 water bottles, suntan lotion, and snacks.  We have 2 stops - one at Messick Point with bathrooms and one at Heidi's Place at the end of Pasture Road.  Any questions call Linda at 757-868-6198 (home).

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.
 
Registration is required for all WAB rides.  Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders,  and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.   Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
