This orientation is for cyclists who have just joined, or are considering joining, the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists (WAB). Those who are new to bicycling are also more than welcome to join us. The orientation leader, Martha Debord, will briefly describe what WAB has to offer local cyclists, what it is like to ride in a group, and the various paces at which group rides are ridden. Martha and other WAB members will then answer any questions you might have. If you wish to ride at 8:30 a.m., we will help you choose a pace group. Multiple paces will be offered.
This is an opportunity to meet WAB members and ease into riding with us.
There is NO obligation to ride today. It is fine to attend the orientation and just listen and ask questions. If you have not yet purchased a bicycle, talk with us about how to get started.
All of us WAB cyclists have been where you are right now – starting to cycle, considering joining WAB, or just joined.
