NOTE: Due to re-paving on the VCT, the ride will start from Chickahominy River Park until that work is complete.

Friday Friends Ride Beat the Heat Version

Now that the heat has arrived, any who care to get an early start Friday can check in with Jane and ride at 8 am.

Individuals are free to ride any pace or distance they choose. The early group rides on the Virginia Capital Trail between the Chapel and Charles City Courthouse.

The Chapel Cafe is closed for the summer. However, we have been invited to use the cafe for lunch, as long as we bring our own food and clean up after ourselves. Coffee and soft drinks will be available courtesy of the Williamsburg Chapel.

If the ride is cancelled, a message will be posted on the WAB Message Board no later than 7:30 am Friday.

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.

Registration is required for all WAB rides. Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders, and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.
