Plantation Gravel Ride
- Date
- 09/22/2019 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
- Location
- Upper Shirley Vineyards
- Ride Description
-
Join us for what promises to be an awesome gravel ride which visits three scenic plantations west of Charles City. This will be a 22 mile fun, casual ride that incorporates about 9 miles of well maintained gravel roads. We will pass by Shirley, Westover and Berkeley plantation and expect frequent stops and re-groups as we will stay together and enjoy the scenery.
While the gravel roads are generally in good shape, you should still bring a suitable bike, with tires of at least 32 mm width.
Park in the parking lot of Upper Shirley Vineyards. As a consideration to their other guests, please park farthest away from the building entrance.
After the ride, relax with a glass of wine at Upper Shirley Vineyards. I don't believe you are permitted to bring your own food, but small plates & deserts are available until 4:30 PM and wine tastings are held until 5 PM.
