2025 Rider's Cup: WAB-PBA Joint Ride "B+" - Route change!

The Rider’s Cup is the annual competition between the Peninsula Bicycling Association (PBA) and WAB.  The Cup is awarded to the club whose top-30-in-mileage members logged the most miles during the previous year.  WAB rode the most miles in 2023, but PBA posted the most miles in 2024.  Therefore, WAB will return the Rider’s Cup to PBA at 8:45 a.m.  At 9:00 a.m., we will launch on jointly led B+, B, C, and D rides, in that order.  The D, C, and B rides will follow the VCT, with the B and C rides adding the Sandy Point loop.

The B+ route has changed.  On Sat. morning, the original route, JS39, will likely have standing water and gravel at the bottom of Carwash hill.  Therefore, the route has changed to JS28, with 770 feet of climbing.  Note:  The RideWithGPS route number for JS28 is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35825018

Because Billsburg is hosting a special event at noon and will be quite crowded and possibly inaccessible, the location for after-ride coffee/beer/root beer/et al. has changed from Billsburg to Frothy Moon, one mile north of Billsburg on Jamestown Rd. (on the right).

Please pre-register.  Any cancelation will be posted no later than 7:00 a.m.  As of Thursday evening, the weather forecast for Sat. morning is still iffy.
