Looking for an opportunity to get your bike out of "hibernation'?  Are you a beginner or a "little rusty"?  Then this is the ride for you!  Come join Williamsburg Area Bicyclists along with James City County Parks and Recreation for this FREE event happening at Chickahominy Riverfront Park on Saturday, May 1st from 9am - 1pm.  Mechanics from local bike shops will offer free safety inspections and assistance for minor repairs.  You are encouraged to ride any distance you like along the beautiful Virginia Capital Trail.  Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants are required to wear a helmet.  In the event of inclement weather, please visit wabonline.org or call the Weather Hotline at 757-259-3232.  For more information, contact Williamsburg Area Bicyclists at info@wabonline.org.

A (20+ mph)
A- (18-20 mph)

Casual Up to 10 mph, with no one left behind

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.
 
Registration is required for all WAB rides.  Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders,  and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.   Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
